The New Miami Skyline

by Isaac Benmergui, Esq on August 5, 2012

Next time you’re driving around downtown Miami, look up. The skyline is changing. Miami boasts the third largest skyline in the United States and currently, that skyline has more cranes than it has in last few years, informally dubbing the city “New Miami.”

With 45 new high rise towers and more than 7,500 new condominium units proposed to the State and local government officials for the South Florida market and Miami receiving 35 of those towers, the Downtown Miami district is officially back.

Real estate values are on the rise and so are the prices. Condo prices have seen a recent surge of 22 percent, buoyed in large part by interest of foreign investors from Canada and South America, who like to pay in cash.
