Brickell City Centre Will Reduce Traffic Chaos with Underground Parking

by Isaac Benmergui, Esq on August 22, 2012

In a tactical move to streamline Miami traffic, the mixed-use Miami Brickell CityCentre has a plan to move parking underground. The plan, which will alleviate the chaos of side street parking just makes the development, scheduled for completion in 2015, that much more attractive to Miami residents and businesses.

When residents, businesses and tourists are faced with parking and traffic hassles, they tend to avoid the city and spend time and dollars for the easier pace of the suburbs. The developer, Swire Properties, has already poured millions of dollars into freezing the soil at the construction site to avoid ground water buildup and prevent leaks.

The underground garage is scheduled for completion in the next 18 months.
