Miami Luxury Home Prices Hit New Record with $47 Million Sale

by Isaac Benmergui, Esq on August 23, 2012

Miami’s private island known as Indian Creek now boasts the priciest home sale in the city’s history with a $47 million home purchase. The 10 bedroom, 14 bathroom house with 3000 square feet of luxurious surroundings has a waterfront view from every room. The new homeowner will be able to exercise in a glass encased waterfront gym or hang out at the 100-foot pool and cabana with six wet bars and a rooftop sky bar and Jacuzzi.

The 300-acre private island overlooks Biscayne Bay in Miami and has just 32 homes and an exclusive 18-hole golf course and country club. The previous owners who built the property wanted a home to reflect resort style living with a spa, 3-D theater and vertical garden. The home also contains limestone walls and indoor reflecting pools.

Real estate agent Jill Eber says the “sale sets the new standard for the Miami beach luxury market,” and “this property is a private resort that is a true work of art.”
