Florida Attorney General Issues Injunction Against Quiet Title

by Isaac Benmergui, Esq on October 22, 2012

Florida Attorney General obtained a temporary injunction and asset freeze against Quiet Title, a company that allegedly preyed on distressed homeowners and bilked them out of thousands in a mortgage relief scam.

According to court documents, Quiet Title charged homeowners $3,500 and falsely guaranteed the homeowner’s underwater mortgage would be voided. The company claimed it offered Florida homeowners an opportunity to refinance their underwater mortgage and reclaim the equity in their homes through cancellation of the mortgage.
