Five Consecutive Months of Gains in Real Estate Market

by Isaac Benmergui, Esq on November 18, 2012

CNN Money reports that the national real estate market has posted five months of consecutive gains, confirming what many people have already known:  the economy is improving.

Although the Miami real estate market has been on the rebound since the beginning of the year, the rest of the country had to catch up. Slowly, steadily, the national economy spurred on by federal government intervention to maintain low mortgage rates, plus a decreasing inventory of listed properties has contributed to the overall gain of the housing market.

David Blitzer, a spokesman for Standard & Poors pointed out that “the sustained good news in home prices over the past five months makes us optimistic for continued recovery in the housing market.”

CNN Money had also reported earlier a September surge in home building unmatched in the last four years. If buyers have been waiting on the best time to buy, now would be a good time to start looking.
