Investors Lured by Rebounding Miami Real Estate Market

by Isaac Benmergui, Esq on December 3, 2012

Real estate investors with cash in hand are being lured into the Miami property investment market with a booming tourism industry, low prices and a competitive market. Condominium prices are up 19.3 percent from a year ago, with single family homes not far behind with a 11.6 percent jump.

The majority of buyers come from outside the U.S., namely Canada and Brazil, and pay in cash. Prices, although still not at the pre-bust levels, are good with buyers able to purchase a $210,000 Miami apartment for roughly a 50 percent discount. If the market continues to grow at more than 10 percent per year, the investment won’t take long to pay for itself.
