Doral Takes Top Spot for Home Prices in Florida

A recent survey comparing home prices nationwide on a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroon property did not find the priciest homes in Miami Beach, but in the city of Doral. The survey by Coldwell Banker, studied 72,000 homes in 2500 communities across the country.

In the apples-to-apples comparison, a home in Doral would cost nearly $500,000, more than two times the state average and almost $200,000 more than the national average. The Florida city with the least expensive homes: Poinciana, where the average price was $76,000. In South Florida, Homestead is the least expensive city coming in at $176,000 on average for a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home.
