South Florida Named Luxury Market of the Week

by Isaac Benmergui, Esq on January 28, 2013

PondThe Real Estate Marketing Insider has named South Florida, including Boca Raton, Palm Beach and Miami, as its Luxury Market of the Week for the third week of January.

REMI’s choice follows a story in the Sun Sentinel that reported Florida’s luxury housing market appeared to be making a strong comeback. After a hard hit by the housing market crash, the area saw its luxury property values plummet. In the last year however, experts have seen signs of rising prices, values, increased transactions, and renewed buyer confidence. In 2012, the counties of South Florida saw an extremely successful year. Broward County’s yearly sales volume topped $768 million, a 47-percent rise from three years prior, and Palm Beach County garnered 791 sales of $1 million properties — 33 percent higher than 2009.

South Florida with its sunny, warm climate attracts big-ticket buyers to its cosmopolitan area with its upscale living, shopping and dining.
