If You Haven’t Received Your Settlement Check…..

by Isaac Benmergui, Esq on July 3, 2013

inverted house_edited-1More than 72,000 Floridians were to receive their share of the $25 billion settlement reached early last year between the nation’s five biggest banks and 49 State Attorney Generals. The checks were to go to borrowers who lost their home to foreclosures and the robo-signing scandal. The banks included Ally/GMAC, Bank of America, Citibank, JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo.

In order to have made a claim for a portion of the money, homeowners needed to have filed a claim with the State. Checks in the amount of $1,480 were mailed our to the homeowners in June. If you have not receive your check, you should contact administrator@nationalmortgagesettlement.com or call toll-free: 1-866-430-8358 (Hearing Impaired: 1-866-494-8281).
