CityscapeThe Southeast Florida Regional Partnership has a plan. It wants everyone in the region to work for toward greater prosperity, including a recession-proof economy. Southeast Florida includes 121 cities and seven counties, which when added together boasts a budget of nearly $40 billion.

The partnership consists of 200 organizations from the Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties and Michael Busha, executive director of Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council feels  the group can help re-establish confidence in the region by bringing a greater focus to new industries while building on the strength of real estate, tourism and agriculture, in order to bring a more diverse economy into being.
