Miami Housing Numbers Getting Better

Florida1If you’re looking for a bargain South Florida’s real estate market, looking at foreclosed properties first is probably your best bet to find the home of your dreams. More foreclosed properties are coming to the market faster now as lenders have waded through the foreclosure process and are auctioning off the properties at an alarming rate.

As buyers have suffered through months of searching, and some even looking for over a year for the right home, only to have it scooped out from under them in a bidding war, they’ve witnessed an abysmal amount of available home to buy, but all that is changing.

Thanks to a change in legislation earlier in the year to speed up the foreclosure process, homes that would have languished in the foreclosure process for nearly three years, are now being pushed to the final step of repossession by the lender, which in turn wants to get the property back to the market as quickly as possible.

For months, South Florida has been a seller’s market, but the bidding wars that buyers has been experiencing may soon levy off and level the playing field between buyers and sellers and rising prices.
