New Miami Apartments That Force Residents to be Healthier

by Isaac Benmergui, Esq on July 18, 2013

DominoEffectYou don’t have a choice but to walk or bike. A new luxury Miami apartment building, the Centro, does not have a parking for residents’ cars. Located in the heart of Miami’s downtown, the building has 36 stories, 352 units, and 10-foot ceilings… and no space for care.

Should you need a vehicle; however, don’t fret. The Centro will have a five-car Car2Go auto sharing station that feature Smart cars; covered bike parking, which will be backed by a Miami bike share program, if approved. The building breaks ground this fall.

Units in the building are half sold, according to the Miami Herald, and prices range from $220,000 to about $450,000. If you do own a car, there’s a city-owned lot a block away, but it will cost you extra.

The Centro’s location is an easy walk from stations for Miami’s MetroMover and Metrorail.
