Miami Real Estate and Job Market Gets Boost from Liberty

by Isaac Benmergui, Esq on January 5, 2012

The 126 acres that Liberty Property Trust bought in order to build a $20 million, 1.6 million square-foot warehouse and distribution space will add roughly $135 million to the county’s tax-base, create 4,000 temporary construction jobs and 2,000 full-time permanent jobs. Construction is expected to begin on the first phase of buildings in late 2012.

Miami is enjoying a rise as an industrial gateway and will be only one of three ports on the East Coast able to accommodate the cargo-toting new Panamax ships.
