Bank of America’s New Incentive

by Isaac Benmergui, Esq on January 12, 2012

Bank of America has a new plan. It wants to give Florida homeowners a $20,000 bonus if they complete short sales on their property. So far, roughly 3,000 people said they’ll do it, and that number is expected to increase with sales throughout the spring and summer. More than 20,000 homeowners were notified that they meet the requirements to take part in the plan.

Sales from December 12, 2011 to August 2012 are eligible to receive the incentive payment. Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Chase all want their delinquent mortgages off the books and are using cash incentives to motivate homeowners’ participation.
