Capital Seeking Deals

by Isaac Benmergui, Esq on January 25, 2012

Miami commercial real estate market is enjoying a lot of interest from domestic and foreign investors with money to burn. With cash deals more the norm than the exception now and planned luxury hotels with casinos attached, Miami’s real estate market may be going through what in 10 years will be deemed as the beginning of the city’s most exciting time in history.

Warren Weiser, co-founder of Continental Real Estate, calls the Miami market “vibrant.” Rental rates are down in many markets, but as businesses move in to fulfill new residents’ needs and desires, rent will rise as competition for space increases. As businesses look for more upscale space, green-lighted high-rise luxury hotels and condominiums will rise to meet their needs. Renters of existing space can expect to be in a better bargaining position for capitals improvements to the buildings currently housing their business.
