Miami’s New Science Museum a Green Venture

by Isaac Benmergui, Esq on April 18, 2012

Miami’s newest museum, the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science, not only celebrates the city’s leadership in international culture and innovation, but also aims to preserve the earth’s natural resources by using the power of the sun, wind and water. The museum will even get its patrons involved by asking visitors to power some of the exhibits. “Miami is enjoying renewed interest in commercial real estate projects and the city is rebounding slightly faster than other areas of the country,” says real estate expert and attorney Isaac Benmergui. Cultural projects signify investors are committed to a city’s continued and future success.

The 250,000 square-foot space will feature lush indoor and outdoor gardens and aquatic spaces, including a 600,000 gallon aquarium, a domed 3-D planetarium , interactive exhibits and two wings for exhibitions, learning spaces and a café.

The project broke ground in late February and is expected to be completed in early 2015.
