Bidding Wars Return to Miami Real Estate

by Isaac Benmergui, Esq on June 8, 2012

Although it’s not quite the vigorous bidding wars of the pre-housing bubble, bidding wars are heating up in the Miami-Dade real estate market. Agents are urging interested buyers to be pre-approved and ready to bid competitively at the asking price or above in many cases. And supplies of available real estate are dwindling fast.

Brokers are now luring sellers to list their house because inventory in many of the nation’s major real estate markets have dropped to under 20 percent. Sellers are reaping the rewards of low inventories and eager buyers, many of whom are walking through the door ready to pay cash. Buyers are looking for properties in move-in condition and are willing to make several higher offers in order to win the bid.
