7 Ways to Improve Your Miami Home’s Chances for a Quick Sale

by Isaac Benmergui, Esq on June 18, 2012

Before you slap the ‘for sale’ sign on your Miami home, attractive presentation can improve your chances for a quick sale at a higher price. Simple improvements could add thousands to your sale price!

  • Painting every room brightens the walls and makes the home appear more spacious. Make certain you choose neutral colors.
  • Nothing dates a kitchen fast than old cabinets and mismatched and old appliances. If your appliances are dated, replace them. Many cabinet types can be painted instead of replaced. Consider adding an inexpensive kitchen island and adding hanging storage above it.
  • Advertise on Twitter and Facebook. Post updates, pictures, blog about your progress.
  • Investigate what a reasonable price for your area would be. You don’t want to price yourself out of the market.
  • If you have an indoor pet, ask a friend to come over and sniff around. You don’t want potential buyers smelling something that you can’t simply because you’ve gotten use to the odor. If need be, get the carpets cleaned.
  • Clean out the junk from inside and outside your home. Clutter makes spaces seem smaller. Potential buyers will open cupboards so make certain yours are organized.
  • Put a gleaming shine on all your fixtures. And turn on all the lights when showing your home. Again, light opens up the space and makes it appear more expansive, which will make the buyer feel they are getting more for their money.
